We are hiring substitutes in the Ankeny and Saydel Community School Districts. No previous experience is required! Remember that educator who made a difference in your life? Now it's your turn! Ankeny Teacher Minimum Requirements:

• Associate's degree or 60 credit hours
• Must be at least 18

Ankeny Paraprofessional Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 Ankeny Pay rates:

Substitute Teacher:

$170/day

Substitute Paraprofessional:

Responsibilities:

• Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
• Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation Teacher Responsibilities
• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
• Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
• For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments
• Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher. Paraprofessional Responsibilities
• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
• Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
• Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher's aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant or education assistant.
