Job Summary This is a morning shift only 7:30-10:30am We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part Time Teacher Assistant to join our educational team! In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and well-managed learning environment for young children. You will be instrumental in assisting with instructional activities, supervising children, and ensuring classroom safety and compliance with educational standards. Responsibilities Support lead teachers in implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and early childhood education frameworks Assist with classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and smooth transitions throughout the day Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and other school-related events to ensure safety and proper conduct Help facilitate literacy, math, and other educational activities tailored to individual student needs, including those with disabilities or autism Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences and support student engagement Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior notes, and instructional support activities while adhering to educational compliance regulations Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to create an inclusive environment that respects diverse learning styles and developmental stages Experience Prior experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom behavior management strategies Experience supporting students with special needs or disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is advantageous Familiarity with educational compliance standards such as ESSA and understanding of early childhood education best practices Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, teachers, and colleagues Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain if not already certified Proven ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in dynamic classroom environments Experience working in private schools or Montessori settings is beneficial but not required Join us in shaping the future by providing compassionate support that inspires young learners!
