Job Summary:
Clear Creek is seeking a student-centered paraprofessional to join our preschool team. The ideal candidate will support student learning, behavior, and engagement in both the classroom and school environment, while fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive school culture. This position works under the general supervision of the principal and the direct guidance of a certified teacher. Responsibilities include working directly with students—individually or in small groups—and performing clerical duties as assigned. Performance will be evaluated periodically.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of instructional plans under the direction of a certified teacher
Provide academic and behavioral support to individual students or small groups
Support students with varying needs, including physical, emotional, and learning differences
Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times
Maintain confidentiality of student information
Perform clerical tasks as needed to support instruction
Required Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Ability to follow teacher directions and implement strategies consistently
Demonstrated patience, compassion, and a commitment to student growth
Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and contribute to a positive school culture
