Job Description

For the 2026-27 School Year. 180 Days Per Year (School Days), 7-8 hours per day. First Day of Employment = as soon as available Applications due as soon as possible. Position open until filled. To provide professional staff with clerical and tutoring assistance, and help with general supervision of students when appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed. Evidence of abilities to relate and work with a heterogeneous group of people. BA Degree preferred but not required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Supervise students on a monitorial basis including playground, lunchroom, halls and bathroom, library, and bus loading. Under supervision and direction of certified teacher, work with student on an individual or small group basis. Perform various necessary clerical and other routine school tasks including; checking and recording student work, classroom housekeeping, locating and preparing instructional materials, typing, preparing AV materials, maintaining cumulative student files. Assists teacher with non-instructional classroom duties as necessary. Processes reports, types teaching materials as directed by the teacher. Assists with supervision of students in classrooms, study halls, media center, playground, lunchroom, hallways, bus duty as needed and directed by the classroom teacher. Assists with students evaluations and Individual Education Plans (IEP) as directed by the teacher. Transports students to job sites or alternative learning opportunities.
