To provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials. Compensation $15.07/hr (+$0.40 extra for 60+ college credit and $0.30 for Para Certification/Sub Authorization) All positions assigned 30 or more hours weekly (typically 6 hours daily) are eligible for a full benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance and paid leave.Essential Duties:
Monitor a classroom activity directed by the vitual teacher. Keep students on the track as they carry out an assignment. Guide students toward better study habits. Refer problems observed (academic or behavioral) to the teacher. Work with individuals or small groups to help them function more effectively (socially) in the classroom. Assist student(s) in learning to use equipment and materials. Help prepare materials for students. Carry our supervisory duties outside the classroom as approved by the building principal (e.g., field trips, library, auditorium). Assist students who have been absent. Enforce classroom management according to teacher's guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
AA degree or 60 college credits or Para Certification Level I and Level II Early Childhood required within 1 year. Successful completion of college level coursework or passing of examination as required by the No Child Left Behind Act.Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
