Job Description

Date:
2026-27 School Year (Now - 5/28/2027) Days needed to work: Monday-Friday Times needed to work: 2:00-3:00pm until 6:00pm Willowwind School (an independent Preschool through 5th Grade school) is seeking an Assistant Director for our After School Program.
Responsibilities include:
1)
Lesson Planning:
Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support students' social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. In the event of an absence, lesson plans and necessary materials should still be prepared and shared with the preschool ASP team whenever possible. 2)
Classroom & Behavior Management:
Establish and maintain a safe, organized, positive, and engaging environment. Use consistent expectations and developmentally appropriate strategies to support student behavior and participation. 3)
Lead Supervision:
Take primary responsibility for the active supervision of preschool students during indoor and outdoor play, activities, transitions, snack, and other parts of the ASP day. Help ensure students are safe, engaged, and appropriately supported. 4)
Staff Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide guidance and support to other preschool ASP staff, help coordinate responsibilities, model strong practices, and foster a collaborative and dependable team environment. 5)
Family Communication:
Communicate professionally and appropriately with parents/guardians about routine ASP matters when needed, while involving the Director of Extracurricular Programs or other school leadership when concerns require administrative follow-up. 6)
Team Communication:
Maintain clear communication with ASP staff and program leadership regarding student needs, plans, schedules, supplies, and concerns that arise during the program.
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
