Webster City CSD is seeking a Full-Time Preschool Paraeducator for our 4-Year-Old Classrooms who loves early childhood education and wants to be part of a supportive team focused on helping our youngest learners grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

Position Overview
Under the supervision of the building principal and direction of the classroom teacher, the Preschool Paraeducator works full-time in the 4-year-old preschool setting. This role is vital in supporting instruction, student engagement, classroom management, and daily routines to ensure a safe, structured, and welcoming learning environment.
What You'll Do
Support certified classroom teachers in delivering instruction and managing daily classroom routines
Work directly with individual students or small groups during play-based activities and learning centers
Assist with classroom management, transitions, and daily routines
Help implement learning activities, social-emotional guidance, and positive behavior interventions
Help maintain a safe, clean, structured, and welcoming classroom environment
Build nurturing and supportive relationships with students
Assist with student supervision across classroom activities, meal/snack times, and outdoor play
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Basic understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and support staff
Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing approach to young children
Strong organizational, time-management, and teamwork skills
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience working with young children or in a school setting preferred
Health certificate on file
Child abuse certificate on file
Physical Demands
Active classroom environment requiring standing, walking, sitting on the floor, movement, and lifting of classroom materials and equipment. Work is performed in a standard school and early childhood classroom setting.
