Qualifications:

Applicants must have high school diploma or equivalent and accumulated thirty-two college credits or be able to pass the Paraprofessional Praxis exam. Previous aide or teaching experience preferred The ability to work with students with emotional, physical, and mental disabilities Ability to instruct students one-on-one and small group situations, at the direction of the Special Education Teacher Works well with students, staff, and the public Excellent organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Able to work under pressure and deadlines Maintain confidentiality of staff and students Must have or be able to get CPR/First Aid Certified Must be able to lift fifty pounds Selected applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test Daily Schedule Four-day school week, Monday through Thursday, 7.25 hours per day

Hourly Rate :

$16.40 per hour Benefits Employee medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage paid 100% by the district. $20,000 employee life insurance paid by the district. PERSI eligible.
