at St. Mary's Health & Clearwater Valley Health in Orofino, Idaho, United States Job Description As a certified pharmacy technician, prepares, compounds, and dispenses medical orders/prescriptions under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Essential Job Functions:
Communicates effectively with customers and provide guidance for locating products or understanding services Accurately process transactions including cash, checks and credit cards while following SMCVH policies. Restock shelves, update pricing, check in vendor deliveries, and maintain inventory systems May be expected to perform some clinical duties relating to the department May be required to assist pharmacist in retail and/or hospital pharmacy Performs a variety of tasks Typically reports to supervisor or manager Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the patients served Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Communicate with co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician Training program or equivalent work experience preferred Pharmacy Technician license with Idaho Board of Pharmacy required CPht required One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred Demonstrated ability to use computer skills including keyboarding and practical data entry into data based software programs.
