This role is essential in providing support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have access to a quality education in a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and special education staff to facilitate individualized instruction and promote student success. Responsibilities
  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing instructional plans and adapting materials for students with varying abilities.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, reinforcing lessons and assisting with assignments as needed.
  • Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback and support to encourage positive learning experiences.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and participation.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom materials, resources, and supplies. Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting, particularly with students with special needs.
  • Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and respond to the diverse needs of students.
  • Must pass background checks and comply with state and federal regulations regarding working with children.
