Job Description

KinderCare is seeking dedicated Assistant Teachers for our South Arlington Heights center. In this role, you'll support lead teachers in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care. You'll help implement age-appropriate activities, supervise children to ensure safety, and create a warm, engaging classroom where every child feels included. Responsibilities include assisting with lessons, supporting daily routines, maintaining a clean environment, and building positive relationships with families. At KinderCare, you'll join a collaborative, growth-focused team with opportunities for training, development, and career advancement. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities Supervise children to ensure safety, well-being, and positive behavior Support daily routines including meals, naps, and transitions Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment Communicate warmly and professionally with children, families, and staff Observe and report children's progress and any concerns to lead teachers Follow all licensing, health, and safety policies and procedures Participate in team meetings and ongoing training and development Required Skills Classroom support Child supervision Early childhood curriculum support Behavior management Basic child development knowledge Health and safety procedures Parent communication Time management Team collaboration Recordkeeping and observation
