Teacher Aide (West Champaign) Champaign County Regional Planning Commission - 3.6 Champaign, IL Job Details Full-time $18.55 - $20.23 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking Teacher Aides to join our team. RPC is a people-focused agency made up of over 100 programs designed to generate possibilities for all within our community. A great deal of planning goes into creating opportunities where people can succeed on their own, and RPC is doing that work. From analysis to policy guidance to offering services to our communities, RPC's people plan for people. The Teacher Aide position assists the classroom teacher(s) with providing a developmentally appropriate educational program to meet the individual needs of each child, and promote good communication between the Head Start program, parents, and the community. Must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED) Proof of Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or degree in early childhood education/development is preferred Unless already possessing a CDA or degree, within three months of hire, the new employee must begin the process to obtain a CDA credential within 9 to 12 months of employment start date or be enrolled in a program leading to an associate or baccalaureate degree program and making reasonable progress each semester Experience working in an early childhood setting preferred Demonstrated dependability and exemplary attendance Must meet all requirements of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Ability to lift children up to 60 pounds in an emergency Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Please submit at least three professional reference letters with your job application.
