Job Description

We invite you to explore the opportunity of joining our wonderful team in bringing quality child care and early childhood education to our Head Start program in McHenry county. We are accepting applications for nurturing, loving, creative and enthusiastic bilingual teacher assistant supports.
Skills/Responsibilities:
Demonstrate competency to provide effective and nurturing teacher-child interactions Observe and assess children's growth and development Assist teacher in classroom environment, safety, curriculum implementation and documentation Bilingual required- Spanish Work with challenging behaviors Demonstrate competency to provide effective and nurturing teacher-child interactions
Experience:
Previous experience working in childcare with preschool children and challenging behavior is recommended

Education:
Teacher assistants must have achieved the following: at least a child development associate credential (CDA); or enrolled in a program leading to an associate or bachelor degree; or enrolled in a child development associate credential program to be completed within two years.
