Key Qualifications:

Current IL Paraprofessional license required Previous experience in a school or classroom setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to supporting students educational and behavioral needs Ability to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of elementary-aged children Reliable and flexible, able to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

Assist classroom teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks Provide individualized support and guidance to students as directed Implement teacher-planned activities and adapt to the needs of the students Help create a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning Supervise students during instructional periods, lunch, recess, and transitions Maintain confidentiality and uphold school policies at all times
