Qualifications & Preferred Background:

Valid Illinois Paraprofessional certification is required Experience with elementary-aged students, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviors, is strongly preferred Comfort and willingness to assist with toileting needs Adaptability, patience, and the ability to remain positive within an active classroom setting

What Youll Do:

Provide instructional and classroom support, assisting teachers as a vital member of the educational team Deliver individualized attention as a 1:1 paraprofessional, guiding students in learning and development Foster a safe, supportive atmosphere for all students throughout classroom activities, group projects, and transitions Assist with daily living needs, including toileting, to ensure every student has the support they require Contribute to a strong classroom community by encouraging positive behavior and engagement Be part of an environment where your compassion and skills truly make a difference for young learners each day.
