ASSISTANT TEACHER

-Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: work 1:1 with students Understand the developmental level(s) of young children Meet the individual needs of children by supporting play, exploration and learning Effective and professional communication skills Complete accurate daily log for each child in the classroom Create a positive, safe and loving learning environment Present realistic expectations that are appropriate to age and developmental levels of the children in care Use assessment tools and observations to track individual child development Have a friendly, energetic nature and display it appropriately when communicating with children and parents Follow and maintain policies and procedures Posively collaborate and communicate with administration and other team members Adhere to all A Step By Step policies and procedures Be flexible for available shifts or classroom assignments

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices Strong written and verbal communication skills At least 19 years of age' '
