The position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, attentive, and experienced in working with children with disabilities, particularly those requiring assistance with feeding and toileting.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in a school setting Strong background in working with students with disabilities, particularly elementary-aged children Skilled in providing respectful assistance with feeding and toileting Patient, empathetic, and responsive to individual student needs Ability to communicate clearly with students, educators, and families Preference for female applicants as indicated by the school's specific requirementsResponsibilities:
Provide dedicated, one-on-one support to an elementary student throughout the school day Assist with daily routines, personal care, and mobility as needed Collaborate with teachers and school staff to foster a supportive learning environment Monitor and encourage student engagement, participation, and well-being Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all interactions Adapt strategies and materials to best support the student's learning goals This position is for 32.5 hours per week, offering a stable schedule that allows you to see the difference your support makes each day.
