Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a real difference each day by supporting students as a Paraprofessional at a respected elementary school near Glendale Heights! This full-time, on-site opportunity (contract through May 2027) seeks dedicated professionals eager to help young learners thrive academically and socially.

Three paraprofessional positions are available:

One-on-one with a 3rd grade student in a semi self-contained instructional room, focusing on both functional and academic growth. One-on-one with a kindergarten student who demonstrates some behavioral needs. Inclusion support for general education classrooms (K-5), assisting diverse learners in reaching their full potential. Work hours are 8:15 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Qualifications/Experience:

Active Illinois Paraprofessional License required Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers and support a positive learning environment Comfort and experience with behavior management strategies Willingness to assist with toileting needs if necessary Confident working with various grade levels and adapting to individual student needs Must possess a clean background check (district will not move forward with candidates with adverse records) Reliability and strong professional references
