is now hiring Childcare Assistants for our Harvey, IL location. Our mission is to care for, protect children, include and educate all children, including children with special needs. Build a solid foundation for learning which begins at birth. Also, improve the quality of children's lives through quality childcare, early screening, early quality education, family and community support and engagement. We are looking for energetic and dependable teacher assistants with a great personality to assist the classroom teacher. Responsibilities Assist the classroom teacher to provide a safe and nurturing environment Assist in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment Actively supervise children and follow activity schedule which include engagement in learning activities Help manage classroom behavior and ensure discipline is fair and consistent Assist with meal service, outside play/walks, etc. Help maintain a clean/organized classroom and center consistent with health and safety standards. Assist with organization, sanitation, and cleanliness of the center Assist with the observation of children Attend weekly and monthly team meetings Education/Credentials Highschool Diploma or higher CDA Certification or Gateways credential level 1+ a plus
