Job Description

Rend Lake College seeks an Assistant Teacher-Infant Room for the RLC Foundation Children's Centerlocated on the main campus in Ina. This individual will assist in the development of curriculum plans as directed by the Lead Teacher; prepare classroom materials and learning environment; interact with children and redirect using positive guidance techniques; maintain classroom records and child information in an organized manner; maintain regulations according to DCFS, Public Health, ISBE, and State Fire Marshall offices; adhere to and support all RLCFCC policies and procedures; communicate regularly with staff, students, and parents; maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom for infants and young children; possess physical and mental health capabilities to work effectively with infants and small children. //Part-time, non-tenure track position.
QUALIFICATIONS
College coursework in Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution required. Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Experience providing child care to infants strongly preferred. Illinois Gateway Infant/Toddler & Early Childhood Credentials or ability to obtain. CPR Certification (Infant and Child) or ability to obtain. Good communication skills. Position is subject to DCFS background check approval. All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.

$17 per hour 35 hours per week
