Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students in a dynamic elementary school setting! This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with a diverse student body, providing one-on-one support within a structured instructional program. The position runs from now through the end of the 2026-27 school year and is based onsite. Your role will primarily involve assisting a single student, though you may also lend support to other students as needed throughout the day. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Flexibility, empathy, and a readiness to assist with various student needs—including behavioral supports and toileting—are essential. Candidates should feel comfortable working with students of any grade level.
Requirements:
Active Illinois Paraprofessional License Willingness and ability to provide 1:1 student support and assist others as necessary Comfortable managing behavioral challenges and providing toileting support if required Ability to work with any age group or grade level in an elementary setting Must be fully clear on background checks and able to pass all prescreening requirements
