Job Description

Little Jewels Learning Center seeks a Full Time Assistant Teacher. The assistant teacher will be responsible for the following:
  • Care for children
  • Supporting Lead Teacher at circle time, during activities, and all other times
  • Maintain program site by following a cleaning checklist
  • Communication with families
  • Follow DCFS guidelines and Little Jewels policies
  • Little Jewels offers a 401K, vacation, personal days, and paid holidays Assistant Teachers must:
  • Have a High School Diploma AND be at least 18.
Duties Include:
Provide a positive and supportive environment for students Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and teachers Communicate with parents on student progress and concerns Maintain a safe and secure environment for students Collaborate with other departments to provide support for students and classroom activities Perform routine maintenance tasks for classroom, equipment, playground, etc. Assist in implementing lesson plans/curriculum Perform other duties as assigned by the
Principal or Assistant Principal Skills Include:
Experience working with children in a primary care setting (preferred) Strong skills in problem-solving Strong interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Ability to work well under pressure
Pay:
From $16.75 per hour
