Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and collaborative Pre-K Assistant Teacher to support our early childhood education program. This position plays an essential role in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 4-5. Position Summary The Pre-K Assistant Teacher works alongside the Lead Teachers to support daily classroom operations, implement curriculum activities, and foster children's social, emotional, and academic growth. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, patience, and a genuine passion for working with young children. Essential Responsibilities Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities Support children's social-emotional development and positive behavior guidance Supervise children to ensure safety at all times Help prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized learning environment Support small group and individualized learning experiences Maintain open, respectful communication with families and team members Ensure compliance with all state licensing and program standards Qualifications High school diploma required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong communication and organizational skills CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Must meet all applicable state licensing requirements Employment Details Full-time position Competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience Professional development opportunities available Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit a resume and cover letter outlining relevant experience and interest in the role.
