As a 1:1 paraprofessional, you'll work closely with both teachers and a single student, providing dedicated academic and behavioral support within the classroom environment. Your empathetic guidance and encouragement will play a crucial role in ensuring educational goals are met while promoting inclusion and positive interaction.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Experience working in schools as a paraprofessional or similar student-support position Ability to build rapport with students and collaborate with teachers Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism at all times Patience, adaptability, and a caring mindset High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or completed paraprofessional exams are a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, individualized support to an assigned student throughout the school day Assist with academic tasks, organization, and transitioning between activities Implement individualized education plan (IEP) accommodations and modifications as directed Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and independence Track and document student progress, maintaining regular communication with educators and support staff Assist with daily living, social, or behavioral needs when necessary This is a wonderful chance to work alongside dedicated educators and truly make a difference in the life of a student.
