Neighborhood House Association is seeking an Assistant Art Teacher for our Youth Education Program. About the Position - As a member of our Youth Education team, you will be responsible delivering age-appropriate and engaging art instruction along side the Art Teacher. You will act as a positive role model and mentor, resolving conflict in a respectful manner and encouraging problem-solving. You will work to improve the student's art and life skills while maintaining a fun, organized space for them to express their creativity. About You - You must be available to work 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, during the school year. During Spring, Summer, and Fall break, you must work a minimum of 20 hours per week, more hours allotted as desired. You should be detail-oriented, a team player, and act professionally. You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in art, art education, or a related field are preferred. Experience working with Children is preferred as well. You must possess a valid driver's license, be willing to transport children in a 15 passenger agency van, pass a criminal background check, achieve CPR/First Aid certification, and take part in other professional development opportunities. We have a diverse staff that is devoted to enriching the lives of those in the community.
