Job Description

Step into a meaningful role supporting young learners in K-2 instructional program classrooms in an engaging school environment. This onsite, contract opportunity allows you to make a real difference during the 2026/2027 school year, working directly with students who benefit from your dedication and care. Your primary focus will be delivering instruction, while also assisting students with some personal care needs such as toileting, feeding, and lifting. With the support of a collaborative educational team, you will help foster both academic and personal growth for children at a foundational stage in their education.
Key Qualifications:
ISBE Approval or Short-Term Approval required (can easily be obtained) Previous paraprofessional or related classroom experience preferred A positive, patient, and supportive demeanor Willingness to assist with personal care needs as required Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers in the delivery of instructional activities within K-2 classrooms Provide individualized support to students, both academically and with daily routines Aid students with personal care tasks when necessary Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages participation and growth Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to the progress and development of each student This full-time, contract position offers a consistent schedule, working 35 hours per week from 7:50am to 3:10pm.
