Job Description

KinderCare is hiring Assistant Teachers for our Swansea center. In this role, you'll support lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. You'll help implement age-appropriate activities, supervise play and learning, and assist with daily routines such as meals and rest time. Working in our collaborative, inclusive culture, you'll build strong relationships with children, families, and teammates while gaining hands-on experience and opportunities for professional growth in early childhood education. Responsibilities Support lead teachers in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities Supervise children to ensure a safe, nurturing classroom environment Assist with daily routines including meals, naps, and transitions Reinforce positive behavior and social-emotional development Maintain clean, organized learning spaces and materials Communicate courteously with children, families, and team members Follow center policies, licensing regulations, and safety procedures Observe and share children's progress with lead teachers Required Skills Classroom support Early childhood education practices Child supervision Behavior management Lesson implementation Health and safety compliance Parent communication Basic recordkeeping Team collaboration First aid/CPR knowledge
