For 50 years, Outreach has changed the lives of thousands of individuals, children, youth, and families in DuPage County, IL, and we are seeking to hire a diverse staff of highly competent professional employees to pursue Outreach's mission to restore hope and provide opportunities for people to become all that God intends them to be. Outreach is hiring a Part-time Counseling Program Assistant within Outreach Counseling Center
  • Warrenville to oversee the front desk of Outreach Warrenville's Counseling Center and assist with related administrative duties. Benefits & Compensation $18.00

Responsibilities The Counseling Program Assistant will greet all clients and visitors, and screen calls for staff, take messages as needed, and transfer calls to voicemail while maintaining client confidentiality. The Counseling Program Assistant will provide general administrative support for the Outreach Warrenville Counseling Program including photocopying, form creation, tracking staff PTO, maintaining a departmental calendar, and managing the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system with confidentiality and efficiency. The Counseling Program Assistant will support basic accounts receivable functions, including collecting client payments and following up on outstanding balances. The Counseling Program Assistant will communicate with clients regarding unpaid balances in a professional and timely manner. The Counseling Program Assistant will run and monitor basic productivity reports; follow up with staff on outstanding documentation or action items. The Counseling Program Assistant will assist with waitlist management, including contacting clients who have been on the waitlist for extended periods. The Counseling Program Assistant will manage the use of counseling office space, specifically scheduling use of offices during busy client times. The Counseling Program Assistant reports to the Director of Counseling Programs
  • Warrenville/Wheaton.
Schedule:
Part-time. An average of 20 hours/ week. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, specific hours to be determined.
Requirements:
HS Diploma or BA/BS Degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field. At least 1-2 years of experience in healthcare administration, ideally within a behavioral health or mental health setting. Strong leadership and communication skills, excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities. Ability to take initiative and contribute to a positive team and office environment. Professional presentation and strong client-care skills. Previous experience working in team environments, with a strong understanding of healthcare billing, coding, HIPAA regulations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to speak Spanish preferred. A commitment to Outreach's Statement of Mission and Faith is required.
