Responsibilities:
On campus from 7:45am-3:15pm Maintain a safe and supportive environment for young children Interact and engage with the children to support play, exploration, and learning Assist lead teacher with carrying out lesson plans Engage students in activities that develop self-esteem and social skills Effectively communicate with students using developmentally appropriate language Support lead teacher with preferred classroom management and discipline strategies Support the Catholic faith, i.e. classroom prayers, events, stories, etc. Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents Follow schedules and routines set by the Lead Teacher, Principal & Assistant Principal Lead and supervise children during lunch and recess Maintain the health and safety of all students, i.e. cleaning classroom materials and spaces Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff Provide a solution-orientated positive approach Attend faculty meetings as requested by supervisor Attend Back to School Night Attend Catechetical Sunday Mass Attend Catholic Schools Weeks Mass and Open House The Archdiocese of Chicago offers a comprehensive total rewards package to include competitive compensation and benefit programs. An employee's pay within the hourly range will be based on many factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
