Responsibilities Lead classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional growth tailored to various developmental stages. Manage classroom operations efficiently, including behavior management and classroom management strategies to foster positive behaviors. Collaborate with families through clear communication about child progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns. Support staff in lesson planning, child development instruction, and adhering to mandated reporting laws related to child welfare. Oversee early intervention strategies for children with special needs or requiring additional support, ensuring individualized attention and progress tracking. Maintain compliance with health and safety standards by ensuring first aid and CPR certifications are up-to-date and implementing health protocols diligently. Conduct regular assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student progress and inform instructional adjustments. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, preschool teaching techniques, and early childhood education best practices. Experience Proven experience working directly with children in educational or childcare settings, especially with toddlers and preschool-aged learners. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Prior experience in special education or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws, child welfare policies, and health & safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certification. Background in teaching physical education or integrating movement into early childhood learning is a plus. Experience working in private schools or similar educational environments is advantageous. Familiarity with childhood development milestones, standardized testing procedures, and tutoring strategies for young children.
