Job Summary Gateway Developmental Learning Center is looking for a dependable, caring, and enthusiastic Preschool Assistant Floater Teacher to join our team! This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with children ages 3-5 , learning new things, and being part of a team. As a Floater Teacher, you will have the opportunity to cross-train in all three of our preschool classrooms , working alongside experienced teachers and helping provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. Duties Assist teachers in all three preschool classrooms serving children ages 3-5 . Work with children in a variety of preschool classroom environments. Help provide a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children. Assist with classroom activities, art projects, learning experiences, and play. Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs. Help with meals, snacks, transitions, toileting, and daily routines. Supervise children and maintain appropriate safety and supervision at all times. Help maintain clean, organized, and inviting classrooms. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Follow Gateway's health, safety, supervision, and classroom policies. Step in where needed to support classroom staffing and daily operations. Learn and follow the routines and expectations of each preschool classroom. Schedule This is a Monday-Friday position , with hours scheduled between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Because this is a floater position, hours and classroom assignments may adjust and change from week to week based on classroom needs and staffing. Flexibility is an important part of this position, as you may work different shifts and assist in different preschool classrooms throughout the week.
