Childcare experience is preferred, but not required. We're willing to train the right person! What You'll Do Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. Assist with learning activities, play, meals, nap, and daily routines. Engage with children at their level and encourage independence and positive behavior. Supervise children and maintain active visual and physical contact. Help keep classrooms and common areas clean and organized. Support teachers and communicate children's needs or concerns. Follow safety procedures, childcare policies, and Indiana regulations. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development. Schedule Part-Time | Up to 20 hours/week Our schedule varies based on the childcare program's needs. Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, or occasional full days. Hours may also vary when additional coverage is needed for staff meetings, trainings, preparation days, or Director scheduling needs. Flexibility and reliability are important for this position. This position is ideal for someone seeking part-time childcare experience who has some flexibility in their availability. Ability to pass required background and health screenings. Ability to complete required Indiana childcare training. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Ability to actively participate with children, including walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, and lifting/holding children as needed. Important Employment Requirements Employment is subject to applicable Indiana childcare licensing requirements, including required background checks, health screenings, drug screening, training, and other documentation. Required early childhood training may include Safe Sleep, Universal Precautions, Child Abuse Detection, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, CPR/First Aid, and annual professional development.
