Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic person to join our education team. The assistant teacher will support our program and lead teachers by overseeing the general welfare, health and safety of all the children in the classroom. We are looking for caring individuals who enjoy working with young children and will provide a loving, nurturing environment for our students while supporting classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and inclusive environment for all students. Individuals must also have an enthusiasm and commitment to help foster a positive atmosphere where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. CDA or Associate Degree or above in either Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education is preferred but not required. Responsibilities Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as language, literacy, and math. Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and inclusive environment. Provide individualized attention and support to students with diverse needs. Prepare classroom materials, assist with curriculum development, and ensure resources are ready for daily lesson plans. Supervise children during all parts of the daily routine (transitions, small groups, outdoor playtimes, centers, large groups, etc.). Collaborate with teachers on student progress and behavior strategies to enhance learning outcomes. Skills Experiences working with children in an educational or childcare setting, including a preschool environments. Strong understanding of child development theories and early childhood education best practices. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Ability to assist with lesson planning. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, teachers, and families. Proficiency in using educational tools and resources for curriculum support.

$11.00 - $13.00 per hour
