Non-PERF District Position Overview:
Instructional Assistants will have various duties, with a focus on student support of all kinds. They will follow their given schedules unless needed to sub in a classroom. They will work under the direction of the building principal or designee. Professional development will be assigned to correspond directly with this IAs daily duties.
Responsibilities:
Provide instructional assistance as needed. Follow the IEP as written and developed by the teacher of record. Perform all duties as indicated by the supervising teachers and the administration.
Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will be a licensed elementary teacher; at least 48 college credits; an associates degree or willing to take and achieve a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment prior to beginning work. The preferred candidate will have experience working with elementary aged children. The preferred candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
