Assistant Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor of Entrepreneurship Compensation:
$60,000 - $90,000

01/01/2027 About this opportunity: The Department of Management in the Miller College of Business at Ball State University welcomes applications for a full-time, 10-month contract position with a joining date of January 2027 or August 2027, based on the availability of the candidate and needs of the department. This contract position is renewable based upon the performance of the employee, teaching needs of the department, and budget. Candidates should have the ability to be physically present on Ball State campus multiple days per week and should be prepared to teach both face-to-face and online courses. Student needs will determine the final count of in-person vs online courses. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the United States without employer sponsorship. What you'll do and what you will bring:
Position Function:
Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in the field of entrepreneurship and/or other areas of management (e.g., leadership, human resource management, international business, organizational behavior).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Anticipated assignments include teaching four classes (12 credits) per semester in the field of entrepreneurship and/or other areas of management (e.g., leadership, human resource management, international business, organizational behavior).
Service:
Performing service and outreach activities for Ball State University and the community.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in business or related field from an accredited institution. Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate collegiate level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or doctoral degree in business or related field from an AACSB-accredited institution. Significant teaching experience in entrepreneurship at an AACSB-accredited institution. Proven record of service and outreach in the field of entrepreneurship.
