Provides instructional support to individual students or small groups under the direction of a supervising teacher Collaborates with teachers and staff to enhance students' educational experience Implements students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed Other duties as assignedJOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required Minimum Education Requirement (one of the following): Completion of at least two years (60 course credits) of college-level coursework An associate degree or higher A passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Prior experience in schools or child care Previous experience working with individuals with special needsKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, parents, and other professionals Excellent dependability and punctuality Positive and enthusiastic attitudeWORKING CONDITIONS
