Description:
Instructional Assistant - Construction Trades (35 hours/week) at Westfield High School Assists with students in Construction Trades courses.
Job Summary:
Supervise Construction Trades students, maintaining an effective working environment: promotes a commitment to educational achievement (encourages strong work ethic, and safety) Assists the Construction Trades Teacher with set-up of all classroom lessons and activities. Communicates directly with the Construction Trades teacher in regards to student coursework, progress, and cooperation in the construction trades projects and activities. Provides assistance to students needing additional help in regards to coursework for Construction Trades classes. Effectively completes tasks assigned by the Construction Trades teacher (ex: data entry, data disaggregation, or other general office work as necessary) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be organized, committed, and able to work with students of different learning levels. Ensure that all safety protocols are being followed by students at all times. To assist the teaching to ensure that students are meeting the expectations for the Ivy Tech course outcomes
