Job Description

Step into a dynamic educational environment as a tech-savvy Paraprofessional supporting special education students as a Virtual Onsite Para Facilitator for the 2026-2027 school year. In this contract role, youll play a vital part in ensuring SPED students are seamlessly connected to virtual learning and resources. Youll collaborate with faculty and staff, floating between school sites near Shawnee, KS, to provide crucial technical support and hands-on assistance.
What You'll Need:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting, especially supporting SPED students Strong technical skills; confident setting up devices and troubleshooting connectivity or software issues Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate student engagement and clear problem resolution Positive, proactive problem-solving attitude when faced with tech or classroom challenges Flexibility to travel between school locations as needed throughout the district
Key Responsibilities:
Set up technology for virtual and hybrid learning environments for special education students Ensure students are connected to devices and digital platforms needed for instruction and services Troubleshoot tech issues, collaborating with IT and instructional staff for swift resolution Support SPED students in engaging with virtual learning, adapting support to various learning needs Communicate clearly with teachers, administration, and families regarding technology solutions and challenges This full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday) runs ASAP through the end of the current school year.
