Job Description
Supervisor:
Principal
7 hrs per day/ 180 days school year
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or GED or enrolled in GED program
Have the ability to develop a positive, professional relationship with students, teachers, administrators and parents.
Assist student in personal care needs, toileting needs including catheterize if required. Subsequently, any person applying agrees to receive training from school health professionals and perform allowable medical services as necessary. Must be available to participate in training sessions.
Willing to participate in non-teaching assignments and extra-curricular activities that are related.
Must successfully complete all required employment forms and applications.
Render health services as necessary after appropriate training.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or program director.
Must have the ability to implement approved job description.
Use professional and respectful communication to students and all faculty members while performing job duties.
Must meet Section 1111(g)(2)(J) and (M) of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) for paraprofessionals as noted below:
Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education; or
Obtained an associate's (or higher) degrees; or
Met a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate, through a local academic
assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics
