BASIC FUNCTION
Assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups; monitor and report student progress. Typically this is at the kindergarten level.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age and supply proof of: A high school diploma and ability to pass the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment OR completion of a minimum of sixty (48) semester hours of study at an institution of higher education OR an associate (or higher) degree. Those with a teaching certification are preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Also requires a physical exam, TB risk assessment, CAN check, state/national criminal background check and drug screen.
