To work closely with the student (s) under the direction of the teacher in an effort to facilitate the progress of the student (s) toward the goals stated and to provide other instructional and clerical assistance as required by the teacher.

Performance Responsibilities - Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning. Alerts the teacher of any problems or special information about students. Participates in in-service training programs, as assigned. Guides independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work assigned by the teacher. Relates to students within the classroom in a manner consistent with the teacher's philosophy in the area of discipline and instruction. Supervises testing as assigned by the teacher. Other related duties may be assigned.
