ESY Student Aide
Description:
A student aide supports educational institutions by assisting teachers, staff, or administration with clerical duties, classroom management, and student support. This flexible, part-time role helps schools operate smoothly while providing students with valuable on-the-job experience.
Responsibilities:
Clerical Support:
Making photocopies, organizing physical or digital files, grading assignments using answer keys, and running administrative errands.
Classroom Assistance:
Setting up/cleaning up classroom materials, preparing bulletin boards, and organizing audio-visual equipment.
Student Supervision:
Assisting with attendance taking, monitoring students in the waiting area, hallways, or on the playground, and guiding smaller study groups.
Special Education & Personal Care:
Specific roles may require lifting and transferring students with physical disabilities, aiding with hygiene/feeding, or implementing behavior support plans.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education Status:
Must be a Bedford Public School student.
Skill Set:
Strong communication skills, time management, basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office), and a welcoming, professional attitude.
