Program Overview:
The LAUNCH Program is a transition-based educational and vocational program designed to support young adults ages 1822 in developing the skills necessary for successful post-secondary outcomes, including employment, independent living, and community participation. The program focuses on individualized support, real-world work experiences, and skill-building in both classroom and community settings.
Position Summary:
The Job Coach Paraprofessional provides direct support to students participating in vocational training and community-based employment experiences. This role focuses on helping students develop job readiness, workplace skills, independence, and confidence while ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students in job training and employment settingsAssist students in learning and performing job tasks, including modeling, prompting, and fading support as appropriateSupport development of soft skills such as communication, time management, problem-solving, and teamworkCollaborate with teachers, transition coordinators, and related service providers to implement individualized education and transition plans (IEPs)Monitor student progress and document performance, behaviors, and skill acquisitionFacilitate student participation in community-based instruction and vocational experiencesAssist with transportation training and support students in navigating community settings safelyMaintain professional communication with staff, employers, and families as neededReinforce workplace expectations, including appropriate behavior, dress, and hygieneEnsure compliance with program policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality standardsCompensation is set in accordance with the Beverly Teachers Association Unit C collective bargaining agreement . For the 2025-2026 school year: $26.84 per hour, Annualized to $30,126 for 182 work days at 6 hours 10 minutes /day.
