2 Position Overview The Paraprofessional will provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to middle school students within the general education classroom. This role focuses on helping students develop emotional regulation skills, maintain classroom engagement, and achieve success in an inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities Support students with social-emotional and behavioral needs Reinforce coping strategies, emotional regulation, and classroom expectations Provide academic and behavioral support in the inclusion setting Assist with implementing behavior support plans Monitor student safety and well-being throughout the school day Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff Communicate observations and student progress with the educational team Qualifications Experience working with students with social-emotional or behavioral needs preferred Experience supporting middle school students (grades 6-8) preferred Previous experience in a school or inclusion setting is a plus Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff If you are passionate about supporting students and helping them succeed both academically and socially, we encourage you to apply today! The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
