Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lead Teacher Assistant to join our educational team! Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Support classroom management by promoting positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences for students Communicate regularly with parents about student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones Collaborate with teachers on individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism or requiring special education accommodations Maintain classroom organization, monitor student behavior, and assist in creating an inclusive environment that respects diverse learning needs Support early childhood education principles by fostering social skills, literacy development, math readiness, and childhood development milestones Requirements Proven experience working with children in educational settings or childcare environments Strong understanding of classroom behavior management techniques and educational compliance regulations such as ESSA Knowledge of special education practices, including working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members Experience in literacy education, math instruction, tutoring or mentoring young learners preferred Familiarity with educational technologies and computers used in classrooms for instruction and assessment First aid and CPR certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire Background in early childhood education or Montessori methods is a plus Ability to supervise children safely while demonstrating patience, compassion, and professionalism Join us in shaping the future by supporting young learners' growth and development!
