Job Description

The Early Learning Center at the Bernon Family Branch of the Hockomock Area YMCA is seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team! We are currently hiring a full-time Teacher Assistant to support our Preschool/Pre-K classrooms. This is a year-round, Monday-Friday, 40-hour-per-week position. Candidates must be available to work between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM for a 9-hour shift, which includes a 1-hour unpaid break. Shifts rotate and may change each week. If you're enthusiastic about supporting early childhood development in a nurturing, engaging environment, we'd love to hear from you! Essential Functions Provides supervision and guidance to children in their care. Follows all health policies, YMCA policies, and EEC regulations. Actively participates in at least two YMCA family events and all childcare family events. Promptly communicates any concerns to a Teacher or Lead Teacher. Assists in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Attends and completes professional development as required by EEC. Must obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire. Must be at least 16 years old. Experience working with children is required. EEC qualifications within 30 days.
