We're seeking a dedicated Teacher Aide to support educators and help create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment. This full-time role offers consistent hours Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, providing an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in special education while making a positive impact on students' lives. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Special Education Teacher in supporting student learning and therapy services. Help implement curriculum activities aligned with Massachusetts Frameworks. Monitor and report on student progress during evaluations and reviews. Provide direct personal care (eating, toileting, hygiene) for assigned students. Support students during community outings, transportation, and therapy sessions. Maintain accurate student records and assist with classroom organization. Ensure safety during activities, including CPR, First Aid, and crisis intervention procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance or lifting equipment. Physical stamina to stand, kneel, squat, and walk for extended periods. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments. Willingness to undergo training in CPR, First Aid, and crisis management.
