Job Description

Job Summary:
At our center teachers nurture and educate young children in a safe, developmentally appropriate environment. They plan and implement engaging activities, support social‑emotional and cognitive growth, maintain routines, supervise play for safety, communicate with families, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure high‑quality care and early learning. Their role blends caregiving, teaching, and relationship‑building to promote healthy development across all domains.
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support social‑emotional, cognitive, physical, and language growth. Observe children daily and use those observations to guide instruction and individualized support. Encourage curiosity, independence, and problem‑solving through hands‑on learning experiences. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom that promotes exploration and positive peer interactions. Establish consistent routines and smooth transitions to help children feel secure and confident. Use positive guidance strategies to support behavior and teach social skills. Provide active supervision at all times, ensuring children's safety indoors and outdoors. Follow all licensing regulations, center policies, and health protocols. Respond calmly and appropriately to injuries, incidents, or conflicts, documenting when required. Work cooperatively with coworkers to maintain continuity of care and a positive team culture. Assist colleagues with activities, classroom setup, and problem‑solving as needed. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Understanding of child development, developmentally appropriate practice, and positive guidance strategies. Ability to maintain active supervision ensure safety, and follow licensing regulations. Strong communication skills for partnering with families and collaborating with coworkers. Skills in observation, documentation, and supporting individualized learning.
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
