Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar educational support capacity Safety care training and behavior management experience are highly valued Demonstrated ability to follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students with diverse needs Reliability, patience, and the capacity to communicate effectively with both students and teaching staff High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education or special needs support is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and adapting activities for students in a life skills setting Support students' academic, social, and emotional needs throughout the school day Help facilitate safe and engaging classroom routines, including transitions and activities Maintain a supportive, inclusive, and respectful working environment for all students Promote positive behavior and reinforce classroom expectations Provide hands-on care and supervision as needed for students with significant support requirements This full-time contract role offers the fulfilling experience of working closely with students and educators, contributing to meaningful daily progress.
