Starting Salary:
$35,000 | Full-Time | No Prior Experience RequiredAbout MVRCSFounded in 1998, Mystic Valley Regional Charter School (MVRCS) in Malden, Massachusetts serves more than 1,750 students in Kindergarten through Grade 12.At Mystic Valley, student achievement is rooted in exceptional educators, carefully selected curricula delivered with fidelity, high expectations, and traditional pedagogy.

Year after year, MVRCS is recognized among the top-performing public schools in Massachusetts, New England, and the nation. Our graduates consistently excel at the post-secondary level, reflecting the strong academic foundation they develop during their time at Mystic Valley.

Students in Grades K12 attend school in dress code for 200 instructional days each year. Our school day is also approximately 60 minutes longer than that of most traditional public schools, providing additional time for rigorous instruction and academic support. Together, these elements help MVRCS deliver on its commitment to providing every student with the opportunity to receive a world-class education.

Position OverviewMystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking dedicated and motivated Grades 16 Paraprofessionals to join our team.

No prior classroom experience is required. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in beginning a career in education. MVRCS provides training and ongoing professional development to help new paraprofessionals build the skills needed to succeed in the classroom.

Paraprofessionals work closely with classroom teachers and school leadership to support instruction, reinforce academic and behavioral expectations, and maintain a structured and productive learning environment. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with students and make a meaningful contribution to their academic growth and success.

Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with classroom teachers to support daily instruction and classroom activities.

Assist with classroom management and reinforce school-wide behavioral expectations.

Provide individualized and small-group academic support.

Lead small-group instruction in areas such as reading, mathematics, writing, and spelling.

Support students during independent and group work.

Reinforce student attentiveness, participation, organization, and engagement.

Monitor student progress and provide targeted academic assistance as directed by the classroom teacher.

Assist with grading and help students review, revise, and improve their work.

Support student supervision during arrival, lunch/recess, dismissal, and other assigned duties.

Attend required school events, including Back-to-School Night and open houses.

Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Support and adhere to all MVRCS policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership.

QualificationsHigh school diploma required.

No prior classroom or teaching experience required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with elementary and middle school students.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to learn and implement MVRCS instructional practices, policies, and procedures.

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other members of the school community.

Dependable, professional, and committed to supporting student achievement.
